India's rising cricketer Manpreet Gony on Tuesday (July 1) landed in an awkward situation with his mother leveling a serious allegation against him saying that the Punjab pacer was threatening to kill her. Gony's mother Mohinder Kaur told the media that Gony was being instigated by his in-laws and added, "Manpreet came to my house with five or six people and threatened to kill me. My husband told him to back off."
Meanwhile Gony's wife has refuted all the allegations and said, "All charges made by my mother-in-law are false. My mother-in-law is seeking publicity. We are not so stupid that we will physically attack our parents."
The young Indian pacer who married a girl outside his caste has been living with his wife and mother-in-law in Mohali ever since his 16-day old son died over a year back.
