Sensex closes in the green at 15,395, up 206 pts

Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index Sensex finally closed above 200 points after a high volatile afternoon session on Monday.

The 30 -share benchmark index closed at 15,395, up by 206 points while the Nifty was up by 45.80 points at 4,562.90.

Earlier, the equity markets, which opened on the upswing on Monday, maintained their momentum in early trade. However, some profit taking by operators and traders brought the indices from the higher levels.

There was buying interest in metal, realty and banking stocks.
